With a network of outposts in each city, Tyrus offers a central location for those seeking adventurers to find them. Prospective patrons describe their mission; the Tyrus Mercs assign it a difficulty rating based on numerous factors such as location, requirements, and known danger; the patron pays the reward plus an administrative fee; Tyrus lists the mission for any interested mercenary to take. Although direct hiring has not vanished completely, and remains popular for shadier arrangements or simply interested parties wishing to avoid Tyrus's fees, the Merc Services have consistently proven to be reliable and dependable administrators of such transactions. Those who take on their missions never need worry about being stiffed or underpaid. Most Tyrus mercenaries must pay an annual fee and demonstrate basic competence to remain on the lists, but the Services make an exception for Mirages, who are invariably skilled at combat and almost invariably profitable to keep on the roster. As such, any player character qualifies to take on these missions. To accept a normal mission, comment to this entry using the form available in the textbox. You must make a log for the mission, howsoever you choose to do it -- playing out the adventure of a challenge like this is You do not need to comment here or make a log for an "R" mission, though you are welcome to do the latter. They are generally routine and uncomplicated. However, you may comment here with an "R" mission and log to receive an incident -- some sort of complication or twist that will change the mission, almost certainly for the worse.
